Stereoscopic universal digital camera adapter

Filed under: Digital Camera — admin @ 5:02 pm

Digital Camera Abstract

A stereoscopic single digital camera adapter in the form of a quick-snap, center sliding plate (1) and guide track adapter (3) with built-in leveling jacks (10), a horizontal level vial (16) and dead-end stops between 0 and 55 mm, which is similar to the average distance between the center of two human eyes. This pocket-sized universal adapter is for use with digital cameras to better facilitate, and quickly and easily capture very precise quality still pair of images of a scene or a subject by any person. The invention helps to capture a stereo pair of images, one that emulates a left eye view of the intended subject and another that emulates a right eye view of the same scene or subject. The two image pairs can then be downloaded into a computer and /or printed on paper through printing devices or viewed in any desired stereoscopic, anaglyph or interlaced viewing formats.

Multispectral digital camera employing both visible light and non-visible light sensing on a single image sensor

Filed under: Digital Camera — admin @ 5:01 pm

Digital Camera Abstract

A digital camera having a single image sensor made up of an array of filtered photosites used to capture non-visible light wavelengths in addition to the standard red/green/blue (RGB) or other visible light intensity values is presented. Essentially, this is accomplished using a separate filter disposed over each photosite that exhibits a light transmission function with regard to wavelength which passes only a prescribed range of wavelengths–some passing light in the visible light spectrum and others in the non-visible light spectrum. The photosites passing non-visible light wavelengths can be configured to pass light in the infrared (IR) light spectrum, which can be limited to just the near infrared (NIR) spectrum if desired, or alternately light in the ultra-violet (UV) light spectrum.

Digital camera for producing positive images from negatives

Filed under: Digital Camera — admin @ 4:47 pm

Digital Camera Abstract

The embodiments of the invention relate generally to digital cameras, such as still or video cameras, and more particularly relate to digital camera systems for positive image reproduction from negative films or images. It eliminates the need for conventional scanners by allowing a digital camera operator to also make positive images from negatives. In various embodiments of the invention, either the user sets up the camera for acquisition of a negative image, or the camera automatically recognizes a negative image and configures itself accordingly. The camera system’s processing facility subsequently transforms the acquired image data to positive image data for storage, printing, and/or display. In some embodiments, a user may assist the transformation of the negative data to positive data and/or further adjust the results of an automatic transformation.
